@ Children's Hospital
There is something so odd about being in a Hospital where behind all those closed doors there are procedures being performed or spoken about that I probably can't even pronounce yet everything visual is appealing - the art on the walls, the structures, the large windows that face a concrete street and brick-lined walls.
There are windows that instead of allowing natural light to enter the room, have supplies stacked against them - cardboard boxes of supplies, plastic wrapped supplies towering to the ceiling and beyond the harsh light of the flourescent lights - yet I'm not offended by the lack of desire to see the light, I'm saddened that among this vast hospital there isn't a supply closet available for such supplies.
Driving here was an adventure in floral eye candy. We took Route 16 from Arlington to Route 2 through a bit of Watertown and down to Memorial Drive. The trees were ever so green, so lush, I wanted to run my fingers through them, like the way I run my fingers through my hair when the wind has blown it.
Memorial Drive is actually one of my favorite areas to drive in Boston. The Charles River on the right side reflects the sunlight like there is a layer of Austrian crystals on it. At 7am, there are the professional "rowers", the runners, the hustle and bustle of people heading to their unknown destination. There was a fatality on Memorial Drive today, a run over Canadian Goose - so sad. No one (including me) wanted to re-run over him, so we had to wait for someone to let us go around him. There was an odd young man sitting on the sidewalk taking pictures of this crushed and mangled goose. hmmmm..to each his own.
I wish there was more time to just roll down the windows and enjoy the breeze through the car, but we were on a mission, there was no time to enjoy such a wonderfully beautiful day that Jehovah has given us.

There are somethings that I like to do other than shopping - taking pictures. The beauty of picture taking is that it really is all up to me. Sometimes it's of things and other times it's of me and friends. Old Friends, New Friends and a sprinkling of family for good measure...
