Our Free Ferry Ride to Staten Island and then back to the City

So after the convention in Brooklyn, me, Atom, Mom and Shauna took the train from Shauna's house to the city to take the ferry to Staten Island. Before we did that, we took mom to One Whitehall Street, where she worked when we lived in NYC, and took her final picture in front of her buildings.

One New York Plaza, old home of Manufacturer's Hanover Trust Company, Inc. - my first real job in the city when I was a Junior at Curtis High School's Coop Program on Staten Island

The SI Ferry has totally changed. The Neon lights are super cheesy but I think they did it for all those dagnabit tourist that are EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME. Hate it. I guess old for me was nicer than all this gleaming white and silver. Sadly, 9/11 had a lot to do with it too.
The escalators are new and there are more of them than they used to be.
The paparazzi (me) took the pictures of the these great looking people getting off the escalators

Look no quarters needed!!!
Everything is glass and chrome and that annoying neon keeps popping up everywhere!

They have new "marble" seats but there isn't a lot of them - so you best hurry on up. I liked the wooden ones better

some kind of scenic tourist boat ride, I'm sure.
The Staten Island Zoo has an Fishtank they maintain on Island side terminal

There are somethings that I like to do other than shopping - taking pictures. The beauty of picture taking is that it really is all up to me. Sometimes it's of things and other times it's of me and friends. Old Friends, New Friends and a sprinkling of family for good measure...
